MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR:
My name is Michael Sherwood, and for the last eight years, I've been guiding hunters on horseback through the mountains. I grew up packing and riding with my dad in these rugged terrains and always knew this was the life I wanted to pursue.
Today, I am a Montana outfitter, running my own business.
I've had the privilege of packing horses and mules in the Brooks Range of Alaska, the Western Alaska Range, the Bob Marshall Wilderness, the Thorofare River drainage in Wyoming's Bridger-Teton Wilderness, and, of course, our very own Beartooth Mountains.
During our course, we will teach you the essential packing and horsemanship skills needed to embark on your own mountain adventures. While these skills take a lifetime to perfect, we'll ensure you get started on the right path!
A huge thank you to Jamie Henneman of the Prairie Star for this great article!
